I only managed it due to the glory of console commands. I realized I couldn't be mean to poor Fenris. So, I locked it in about 12 seconds after finishing his intro quest.
And then I did the polar opposite with Isabela, and locked her in friendzone. I was sick of her running off forever! >:| And she's awesome when she's all complaining about how you've changed her and made her have FEELINGS and stuff.
